The legal review provides information on inconsistencies in your ordinances and reviews your code’s state statutory citations for currency. This review does not take the place of the municipal attorney.
It provides research support to your attorney and your municipal staff that will save you time and expense in your own code review because it identifies possible conflicts between the code and state statutes, inconsistencies within the code, and any obsolete citations.
As your code draft is being created, our code specialists make notes of potential issues in an editorial report. This could include information about incomplete legislation, legislation that seems out-dated, or suggestions for material that may need updating, such as reviewing fees or fines.
There are also explanations for why material may have been codified or, in some cases, left out of the codification.

We conduct a general review looking for major constitutional issues (where a provision may conflict with settled law on issues such as curfew, loitering, utility disconnection, signs, etc.) and to locate possibilities for further statutory research by the client’s own counsel.
